Responsible for the strategic direction and delivery of data development and information assets across the entire data lifecycle; blend of consulting and ownership. The team member will have deep expertise in systems design & integrations, and be able to collect, understand, and foresee the needs of the business in order to ensure delivery of technical solutions that drive innovation and business continuity. This role will serve as the executive owner of strategic technical direction along with execution. This position will report to the VP Global Data Enablement.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

• This position has direct supervisory responsibilities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Maintain existing data assets while looking for optimization/enhancement opportunities.
• Ensure the highest levels of data accuracy reliability and fidelity to end users.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical terms and vice versa.
• Ability to analyze very complex technical problems and quickly deliver a stable solution.
• Collaborate and communicate well with all levels of team members inside and outside of IT.
• Must have knowledge to connect and integrate multiple disparate data systems/sources.
• Gain trust of stakeholders through constant communication and consistently delivery of high quality data solutions.
• Technical hands-on experience in the entire data lifecycle including systems design, data infrastructure, data architecture, data engineering/ETL, data automation, business intelligence, and analytics.
• Cultivate a high-performing collaborative team culture while designing and implementing processes to maximize efficiency data quality and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to align data initiatives with business goals and priorities.

Skills/Abilities: 

• Possess strong leadership qualities.
• Excellent communicator with individuals and groups at all levels.
• Prefers to work in fast-paced technical environments.
• Experience with Python, SSxS, Microsoft Azure (e.g. Blob EDL PowerPlatform), AWS (e.g. Quicksight Redshift Lambda S3 EC2 VPC RDS Airflow), SQL/TSQL/NoSQL, Git.
• Technical hands-on experience in the entire data lifecycle including systems design, data infrastructure, data architecture, data engineering/ETL, data automation, business intelligence, and analytics.

Education and Experience:  

• BS in Computer Science Data Science or similar IT focused STEM field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ Years’ experience required
• 8+ years of supervisory responsibilities required
• Experience in highly innovative environments such as R&D, innovation departments, or incubators.

Physical Requirements: 

• Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
