The Wellness Specialist will provide day-to-day support for SelectQuote’s associate wellness programs, with a focus on driving engagement in the SQuare, our reward and recognition program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting overall employee health and wellbeing, including physical, mental, and financial wellness while fostering an inclusive culture that supports associate engagement and diversity. This position requires collaboration with internal and external business partners to deliver effective culture and wellness programs that align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and implement culture and wellness programs and initiatives tailored to associate needs and market trends
- Develop communication strategies that foster a positive culture, enhance associate satisfaction, and boost productivity and retention.
- Determine and distribute awards and funds within the platform to align to the strategic distribution of business incentives and needs
- Act as the primary contact for the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), assisting associates and managers with inquiries and incident responses
- Manage the Wellness Incentive Program to reduce overall healthcare costs by promoting proactive health measures, and driving engagement in prevention programs
- Own and manage all aspects of the Kansas City Corporate Challenge, including budget, marketing, event planning and communication
- Drive organizational engagement by coordinating culture and wellness presentations, workshops, and webinars to foster a healthier, more connected, and more productive workforce
- Manage vendor relationships with external partners, such as Rewards Gateway, SupportLinc, and corporate sponsors to ensure successful execution of of programs
- Analyze and interpret on program effectiveness by compiling data from multiple sources, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing strategic insights to leadership on how specific wellness initiatives reduce healthcare expenses and improve overall associate productivity
- Manage the associate ticketing system, responding to wellness-related questions and ensuring timely resolution
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining the confidentiality of personal health information
- Skills/Abilities:
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create engaging and informative content
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Knowledge of federal laws and regulations related to wellness program administration
- Ability to work proactively, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office programs

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
- 3-5 years of experience administering associate wellness programs required

- Deliver compelling content and communication to promote associate engagement through the SQuare.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with HR, internal teams, and external vendors to organize culture and wellness programs
- Maintain open and timely communication with associates through the ticketing system
- Plans and Organizes:
- Manages multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely execution and evaluation of programs and initiatives
- Proactively plan and evaluate wellness programs and initiatives tailored to associate needs and market trends
- Assist with the organization and promotion of cultural initiatives aligned with SelectQuote;’s Core Values to foster an environment supporting the diversity of our associates
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
