The Vice President AI & Innovation will be responsible for shaping and executing the AI strategy at SelectQuote. This leader will identify opportunities to implement AI across various business divisions develop innovative solutions and drive AI adoption as a competitive advantage. The VP will oversee AI & Innovation teams as well as the Data Science team and will be responsible for engaging senior leadership and the board to drive excitement and alignment around AI initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy for SelectQuote.
• Identify AI opportunities across divisions to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
• Lead AI & Innovation and Data Science teams to drive business impact.
• Translate complex AI concepts into clear actionable business insights.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and the board to drive AI adoption and innovation.
• Evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Manage external AI partnerships and vendor relationships.
• Develop a culture of AI experimentation and continuous improvement.
• Oversee AI governance ethical considerations and compliance with regulations.
• Ensure AI initiatives are aligned with overall corporate strategy.

Skills/Abilities: 

• Deep expertise in artificial intelligence machine learning and data science.
• Strong ability to communicate AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven leadership in AI strategy development and execution.
• Experience managing AI & Innovation teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong influencing skills including experience engaging senior leadership and the board.
• Understanding of AI governance ethical considerations and industry regulations.
• Ability to drive a culture of continuous learning and AI experimentation.

Education and Experience:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science AI Data Science or related field required (Master’s preferred).
• 12+ years of experience in AI leadership strategy and innovation.
• Proven track record of implementing AI solutions that drive business impact.

Physical Requirements: 

• Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
