About the Role

SelectQuote’s digital marketing team needs a Content Development Specialist. The Content Development Specialist will work in coordination with the Senior Manager of Brand and Content Strategy, as well as members of other departments, to develop digital content for SelectQuote, one of the country’s preeminent national insurance brokerages.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit copy for a variety of digital media including but not limited to: websites blog posts one-pagers, social media, ads, form pages, landing pages, etc.
  • Leverage SelectQuote’s voice and style guidelines audience research and user journey information to create useful useable content
  • Research content and consumer trends to ensure content is relevant and appealing; conduct content and keyword research to inform content creation and keyword research to inform content creation
  • Leverage AI tools responsibly and innovatively for content research, planning, drafting, and optimization
  • Ensure SEO strategies are implemented through content
  • Coordinate content approvals from relevant stakeholders stakeholders, including managing creative content through the internal and external compliance processes
  • Input and edit content into the content management system
  • Assist in creating and maintaining content governance processes including editorial calendars, inventories, sitemaps, audits, and asset libraries
  • Help inform and execute on the content strategies across SelectQuote’s different lines of business including Life, Auto & Home, Senior, and Healthcare Services
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
  • Strong knowledge of Google Suite programs is required
  • Knowledge of automation/AI for quality content generation is preferred
  • Knowledge of content management systems, especially Contentful, is preferred
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated excellence in content clarity, creativity, and design (candidate may be asked to provide work samples of content they have created)

  • Resourceful and autonomous learner with the ability to deliver under pressure
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 3-5 years copywriting experience for medium-to-large brands
  • Experience developing managing and maintaining content governance elements
  • Working knowledge of content management systems and SEO tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work.  Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

The Compensation for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed.

 

Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.

Base Salary Minimum

$65,000

Base Salary Maximum

$75,000
