About the Role

The Sr. Commissions Program Manager is responsible for commission program design; commission calculations for unique incentive programs executed outside of the standard commission system; oversight / management of the monthly commission execution; and commission communications.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for actively leading commission design sessions with the leadership team to support non-standard commission incentive programs and translating the outputs into a written incentive plan and/or commission program document
  • Responsible for partnering with internal stakeholders to develop new and creative commission programs and / or commission plan elements that resonate with agents; align with corporate objectives and enhance the overall agent experience
  • Responsible for maintaining and evolving all existing commission plan documents and developing new commission plan documents as needed; this includes comparing to the prior year prior season and identifying all deltas and working with the leadership team to drive final decisions
  • Responsible for supporting and accurately calculating commissions results for select commission programs; partnering with Analytics to determine communication mechanism(QuickSight Reporting etc.); developing and executing the communication plan in conjunction with Sales Leadership and executing in our Commissions System via manual adjustments or other designated approach
  • Responsible for partnering directly with the Commissions Project Manager and the Analytics Team to ensure commission plan designs can be supported implemented and scaled thereby supporting timely and accurate commission payments
  • Responsible for leading the Sales Manager and Regional Sales Manager commission process including target setting across all agent levels; maintenance of an accurate manager listing; and regular reviews of data to ensure trending is reasonable and appropriate in advance of monthly payroll deadlines
  • Accountable for administering commission programs and perks for select groups of agents in accordance with the plan design
  • Responsible for developing and/or presenting sales facing communications (emails policies or presentations) outlining commission plan changes
  • Identify operational efficiencies including self-service tools and work cross functionally to implement and drive overall efficiencies throughout the variable commission process across levels and employee types
  • Leverage strong analytical skills business knowledge and financial acumen to evaluate variable commission outputs for reasonableness
  • Ability to synthesize and summarize data into executive summaries that is easy to consume and clearly relays pertinent points
  • Ability to quickly validate commissions calculations within the system for audit purposes; document variances and work with the appropriate resources to resolve calculation errors or abnormalities 
  • Complete other duties as assigned to support variable compensation and the evolution of the commission programs to support agent experience and company objectives

  • Self-motivated with an extremely strong sense of urgency
  • Robust analytical skills required to understand the impact of commission changes and review datasets for reasonableness and commission plan compliance 
  • Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to drive priorities and accountability throughout the commission process that crosses several functional areas with critical timelines and activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required to design and present commission plans to the Sales Team in a factual yet compelling manner
  • Ability to review data files for accuracy in comparison to variable commission plans by Position and Level 
  • Experience in influencing teams and matrix managing internal resources 

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required
  • 7+ years of related experience required

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

The Compensation for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed.


Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.

Base Salary Minimum
$95,000
Base Salary Maximum
$110,000
