Lead technical position responsible for the end-to-end design implementation and maintenance of our enterprise-level server infrastructure. This position requires technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers driving critical projects and infrastructure improvements and serving as a key point of issue escalation.. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability scalability and security of our core IT systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive the entire end-to-end lifecycle of complex server infrastructure solutions
- Lead technical projects and infrastructure improvements from initial concept to deployment
- Develop and implement automation strategies to streamline system administration tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve complex server hardware operating system and application-level issues often acting as an escalation point for junior engineers or IT support
- Manage and maintain system security ensuring all infrastructure components comply with internal policies and industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Oversee the planning testing and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Diagnose and resolve complex server hardware operating system and application-level issues often acting as an escalation point for junior engineers or IT support
- Monitor server performance and system health
- Independently perform advanced installation configuration and maintenance of server hardware and operating systems
- Assist in the design maintenance and implementation of server policies and procedures
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical IT infrastructure incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure-related projects.
- Work with hardware and software vendors to resolve issues and stay abreast of new products and services.

Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting server connectivity using core networking principles (TCP/IP routing firewalls VLANs).
- Advanced knowledge of storage technologies (SAN NAS iSCSI Fibre Channel).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) and hybrid cloud environments is highly desirable.
- DevOps and CI/CD experience
- Proven ability to lead large-scale business-critical IT projects with significant business impact.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration
- Understanding of ITIL framework and incident/change management processes
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
