About the Role

SelectQuote is looking for an Inbound Licensing Specialist I to join our team. As an Inbound Licensing Specialist I you are responsible for ensuring incoming candidates have prepared all onboarding documentation for licensing and contracting needs within the insurance division. This position plays a key role within SelectQuote’s Talent Acquisition Department as the main point of contact for all incoming candidates concerning background documentation and licensing requirements. This includes reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with industry requirements maintaining documentation within internal systems and providing updates to external teams as candidates move through the onboarding process.

 

To be successful in this position the ideal candidate will need excellent time management skills to input data quickly and error-free. An eye for detail is critical as this role verifies entries across multiple sources watching for inconsistencies or omissions. This is an excellent role for candidates who are organized and driven to seek and absorb new information.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with teams in SelectQuote’s Talent Acquisition department to ensure candidates have met all pre-hire requirements by specified deadlines.
  • Review legal documentation to confirm candidates are compliant with organizational policies and industry regulations.
  • Ensure candidates move though the onboarding process in a timely manner while maintaining a positive candidate experience.
  • Confirm candidate licenses are in compliance and have met positional requirements.
  • Organize and maintain candidate records in a clear and effective manner.
  • Ensure candidates remain in compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
  • Create and service internal candidate profiles using multiple operating systems.
  • Escalate deficiencies to department leadership.
  • Provide consistent high-level customer service to internal departments.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc projects as assigned from time to time by supervisor.

 

Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to state messages in a clear and concise manner.
  • Intellectual curiosity with an eagerness to lean and grow with role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Word Excel and OneNote.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new information and apply knowledge learned.
  • Ability to consistently meet goals and deadlines department standards for quality and productivity.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize various assigned tasks independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required.
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy.

 

Education and Experience:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Four-year college degree preferred.
  • 6 to 12 months of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet job requirements.

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.

Base Hourly Minimum:

$20.00
