About the Role

The Manager of Billing will lead all billing collections posting and revenue management operations across the organization’s DME Telehealth and emerging product lines. This role is responsible for driving billing integrity optimizing reimbursement processes and ensuring timely cash flow across multiple service categories. As the company expands rapidly in new care delivery models this position requires agility strategic thinking and strong troubleshooting skills to adapt systems and workflows to evolving business needs.

 

The Manager will establish and maintain a high-performance culture through clear accountability structures process standardization and technology-driven efficiencies that support continued scalability and compliance with payer requirements.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • This position has direct supervisory responsibilities. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manages daily workflow of billing specialists and assigns daily tasks
  • Oversees daily billing activity to ensure processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Reconcile deposits
  • Identify and escalate errors
  • Ensure claim rejections are processed accurate and timely
  • Oversee department revenue and escalate any trends or issues that arise
  • Provide support and continued education to team and/or RCM vendor(s)
  • Ensure trainees have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their job
  • Analyze reporting and identify trends and opportunities to improve revenue
  • Escalates issues with revenue collections and receivables
  • Works cross-functionally to ensure effective processes and procedures are in place for the highest overall revenue reimbursement
  • Develops/identifies KPIs for billing organization and/or RCM vendor(s) and  establishes industry norm benchmarks and manage to those benchmarks
  • Encourages enables empowers and equips billing team
  • Ability to resolve escalated patient billing calls

 

Skills/Abilities: 

  • Understand and Maintain confidentiality regarding patient medications and illnesses (HIPAA)
  • Ability to operate and manage out of multiple platforms
  • Proficiency in reading writing and speaking English is required

 

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 4 years management experience required
  • Background in Healthcare

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
